Empower the World Through Science Scholarship Winners!
We are excited to inform you guys of the winners of this year's scholarships!
The first winner is Collin Dang from Redmond High School who is enrolling in the UW this
next school year. He hopes to use computer science and artificial intelligence to improve
our education systems!
The second winner is Megan Wong from Juanita High School who will also be going to the University of Washington this fall.
She's planning on pursuing a degree in chemical engineering in order to further her interest in science and to research p
rocesses at a molecular level. She hopes to enter the biomedical field to design a product or procedure to help better
the human condition, such as a process to generate artificial cell signals that can trigger tissue development or repair.
She hopes to use her engineering skills to solve current world challenges and to fulfill my love for service by helping
people around the globe, thus using her knowledge to benefit others.
The last winner is Diana Koralski, who is currently a student at Redmond High School
and finishing her last quarter at Bellevue College through the running start program.
She will be attending California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo starting
Fall 2020 where she will be majoring in Computer Science. She looks forward to expanding upon
her STEM knowledge by embarking on a path that is brand new to me. She has a passion for chemistry
but is ready to explore computer science in hopes of interdisciplinary applications for the future. Go Stangs!
